BLOG 5 - Changes To My Study Programme
Hi everyone! Today I talk about my career.
As you know, I study visual arts at Universidad de Chile, this is my last year and I have seen both good and bad things.
First of all I really like my career, I find the theoretical classes very interesting and the variety of techniques and crafts that one can learn such as photography, sculpture, engraving, painting, ceramics, textiles, etc. is one of the best things that the program of study offers. But the duration is too short for me, in four years it is not enough to learn everything, since specialization takes time.
In terms of infrastructure, the art faculties are very precarious and there are several deficiencies over the years. In the case of the Faculty of Las Encinas, these range from the lack of soap (which in the last semester has been supplied) to water leaks in the roofs. While there are things that have been improving, there is still a lot of work to do.
On the other hand, I really like the food they serve in the cafeteria, it is one of the best on campus and at an affordable price. Also, I have recently visited the library and it is a comfortable and quiet space, perfect for writing memory, I like it very much.
Regarding teaching methods, I think it depends a lot on the professor in charge and in most of the courses I have been in I learn much more when there is feedback that goes along with the artwork one does and that depends on good communication from both parties, teacher and student.
Well, I think that's all, oh, I forgot, "Los Pastos" are the best place on the faculty! also the areas where there are games.
Some things I have recorded while in the faculty.
